Matthew?s eyewall reaches S.C.; storm-surge flooding could be devastating

In its unusual journey north, the hurricane has not quite managed to make landfall, staying just off the coast. At least four storm-related deaths were reported in Florida, and more than 1 million homes and businesses lost power.
