Gene Wilder, known for his nimble comic portrayals of neurotics, dies at 83

He was one of the most popular stars of the 1970s for his work with Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor. He had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma nearly two decades ago, and his family said he succumbed to complications of Alzheimer's.
