London attacker was British-born and had been investigated by authorities, prime minister says

Prime Minister Theresa May made her comments a day after an attack that killed a police officer and two other people and injured dozens. The suspect, who was killed by police and has not been named by officials, had previously been investigated by MI5, she said.
