Killer wildfires scorching California?s wine country remain almost completely uncontained

Tens of thousands of people have fled their homes. At least 23 people have died, and hundreds are reported as missing. Winds are picking up again, the air is dry and there is no rain in sight. In some areas, the smoke is so thick that the sun is a faint orange sphere in the sky.
