At 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, a rental truck jumped a curb, turned left and barreled down a 20-block stretch of a bicycle path in Manhattan's lower west side. The deadly attack was the work of a self-radicalized terrorist, authorities have said, and occurred blocks from the site of the World Trade Center attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
