She thought she could freeze her eggs to free her career. But reality was a bit different.

Brigitte Adams's story was one of empowerment. She remembers feeling a sense of freedom after she froze her eggs in her late 30s, despite the $19,000 cost. Her plan was to work a few more years, marry and still have a house full of her own children. As she approached her 45th birthday, she learned that egg freezing is no guarantee.
