A controversial warrant used in five states allows authorities to temporarily confiscate guns from law-abiding — but at-risk — owners. Gun-control advocates say it is a common-sense way to prevent suicides, murders and mass shootings. But some gun owners say it is the manifestation of their greatest fear.
