Leafy suburbs. Tidy sidewalks. And radioactive waste just down the road.

In a St. Louis suburb that is home to a contaminated landfill that contains thousands of tons of waste from the World War II-era Manhattan Project, residents are skeptical of EPA head Scott Pruitt's promise to prioritize the federal cleanup program. "My biggest fear is he's just going to put a Band-Aid on it," a resident said.
