Cardinal Donald Wuerl spent 18 years as bishop of Pittsburgh. A grand jury investigation, which probed six dioceses' histories dating back to 1947, depicts Wuerl's actions there as mixed, at times stopping abusive priests from continuing in their ministries and at other times guiding them back into parishes.
